If you don’t know much about cryptocurrencies, you might not even know what an NFT is. An NFT is an acronym for a non-fungible token, which basically means that this is a valuable virtual object that lives thru a blockchain. You can do more research about it if you are interested in this kind of stuff, but my point here is that NTFS is a pretty big deal right now, and people go crazy for them. Believe it or not, NFT even made its way into the automobile industry, and manufacturers are offering some NFT as a gift to go along with some cars.

That’s exactly what Chevrolet meant to do with its new Corvette Z06. It decided to auction a 1 of 1 example with its 1 of 1 NFT created by Xsullo. The real car and its virtual twin are both painted in a unique Minted Green. We don’t have the numbers about how much the car sold for, but we are pretty sure it went for a crazy amount of money since the very first Corvette Z06 sold for $3.6 million. This is an unbelievable amount of money, but it shows how popular the Corvette is. In fact, if you went to one, you might be too late since many sources claim that the entire production of the Z06 is already sold out. As for the regular Corvette, the wait list is already two years long, and you’re not guaranteed to get one even if you have the money in hand. There is a huge market for used Corvette, and the last thing Chevrolet wants is to sell the car to somebody who buys it just as an investment.

The Corvette Z06

Now let’s talk about the real car and why it is so popular even though it’s not even out on the market yet. Well, as you might have seen in the past years, the new C8 Corvette has been a huge success with its new look and the fact that the engine is now in the middle. The Corvette is the closest it’s ever been to an exotic supercar before. In fact, there was only one thing left to upgrade, and it was the engine. Don’t get me wrong, the 6.2 L V8 is a fantastic motor, but it’s nothing like a screaming Italian V8.

This is where the all-new engine found in the Corvette Z06 becomes a game-changer. Not only does this 5.5 flat crank V8 sound like a twin brother of Luciano Pavarotti, but it can rev up to 8600 rpm. It is also the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever put in a Corvette, with 670 horsepower, which allows the car to perform a 0 to 100 mph in less than 2.6 seconds.

The crazy thing about all this is not just it. Yes, there is a crazier Corvette version in the making, and we won’t see the end of it until 2025, according to what people are saying. There are some rumors about a 1000-hp Corvette, which is almost hypercar territory.
