Mazda CX-90 2024

Mazda's latest and most incredible creation is now available on the market. Of course, we are talking about the 2024 CX-90, Mazda's all-new flagship model. The best part about it is that it's not even so expensive, which is precisely what we will discuss in the following paragraphs.

The 2024 Mazda CX-90 starts at $45,900, which is the cost of the average new car in 2023. Mazda did its homework because it makes the CX-90 more affordable than most competitors and as affordable as the most compact and mid-size SUVs. Of course, it gets more expensive as you drive forward in the CX-90, but it doesn't matter because you will always have much more than you pay for. The CX-90 Signature may cost $63,300, but it gives you the same experience as a $100,000 luxury model.

Mazda made it very simple for buyers, which I like. The CX-90 line-up is divided into two categories, each involving a different powertrain. Again, this way of sorting things is typical of luxury and prestigious brands, which shows how serious Mazda is about the CX-90.

Mild Hybrid

The first mechanical option with the 2024 Mazda CX-90 is a 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder making 280 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a mild hybrid system that helps performance and fuel economy. You will get this combination with the GS, GS-L, and GT versions. However, if you pick the GT-P or the Signature trim level, you will get an even more powerful version of this powertrain with a total power of 340 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. With this powertrain, the maximum towing capacity of the CX-90 is 5,000 pounds.

GS – $45,900

GS-L – $49,300

GT – $55,350

GT-P – $59,300

Signature - $63,300

PHEV

A 2.5-liter four-cylinder and an electric powertrain power the 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV. This combination makes a total power of 323 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The Japanese SUV is equipped with a 17.8 kWh battery pack. Although Mazda didn't confirm any number yet, the CX-90 PHEV should offer an all-EV range of around 50 km. The PHEV powertrain also allows the CX-90 to tow up to 3,500 pounds.

GS – $54,900

GS-L - $59,950

GT - $64,350

As if the 2024 Mazda CX-90 price wasn't competitive enough, the PHEV version is eligible for a government subvention program, making it even more enjoyable.
