7 things to know about the 2023 Kia Forte

2023 Kia Forte

The Kia Forte is one of the last compact sedans on the market, thanks to the popularity of the SUVs category. However, I sincerely think there is nothing that drives like a car with a lower center of gravity and a lighter mass.

The 2023 Forte offers a lot of different trims and two engines. There is no major update for 2023, but the current generation has been on the market for only four years. It is still a very modern and attractive car. The 2023 Kia Forte has a lot to offer, and this is why I decided to pick 7 things you should definitely know about the Korean manufacturer's compact sedan.

1 – It is a lot of fun to drive

As I mentioned earlier, the 2023 Kia Forte offers two options under the hood. The first one is a 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque which is OK. However, the turbocharged 1.6 liter 4-cylinder is a lot more fun with its 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. This motor can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a quite fast-shifting 7-automatic gearbox. Let me tell you, this engine is perfectly capable of coping with the 1.5 liters of 4 cylinders found in the Civic SI.

2 – Apple Car Play and Android Auto

This is the kind of technology every car should get as standard in 2023, but it is not the case yet. Luckily, this is something you have with the 2023 Kia Forte, even in its most basic form.

3 – Kia Connect

This technology is available for the 2023 Kia Forte, and it is one of the best apps of its kind. The Kia Connect app allows you to lock or unlock your car from any distance with your phone. There is an integrated remote starter and a lot more you can do with it.

4 – 8 colors

It doesn’t seem like much, but if you take the time to look at most vehicles available on the market, you will see that most of them are offering only 5 or 6 different colors. The 2023 Kia Forte provides 8 tints with 4 neutral colors and 4 flashier options.

5 – A sound infotainment system

As a car journalist, I can tell you that sometimes, I get really frustrated because of how complicated and useless some infotainment systems are. With the 2023 Kia Forte, that is the complete opposite, and you get a 10.25-inch display screen which is slightly bigger than average.

6 – An elegant silhouette

There is no ugly car on the market currently, although some people wouldn’t agree with that. However, the 2023 Kia Forte is charming, and it has a luxurious feel to it. Proportions are perfect, and every line is sharp. It is a very well-designed car inside and outside.

7 – 7 trims

LX, EX, EX+, EX Premium, GT-Line, and GT Limited, there are numerous trim levels in the Kia Forte line-up, and this is why it is a better choice than most of its competitors. You can really choose the version that suits your needs the best without paying for extra stuff you don’t need.
