Ferrari LaFerrari : how much does it worth now?

Ferrari LaFerrari : how much does it worth now?

Ferrari, LaFerrari

For the average Joe, any Ferrari can be a special car. However, if you are a car enthusiast or a collector, you know there is a massive difference between a base Roma and a fully loaded SF90, perhaps. And we are not even talking about special edition cars. When it comes to Ferrari, I think the goal for any collector is to get as many limited series cars as possible, if not all of them. Of course, I am talking about the 288 GTO, the F40, the F50, the Enzo, ad The LaFerrari. A couple of years ago, if you had about 10 million dollars, you could have put your hands on all those cars easily.

Today it’s a totally different story. Of all the five legendary cars, the cheapest one you can get is the F50 for an average sale price of 3 million dollars currently. I mean, you can maybe find one for a little less than that, but don’t expect the condition to be perfect. Technically, you can get a Ferrari F40 for less than $3 million too, but things can get a little pricier if you want one with low mileage and pristine conditions. The Ferrari 288 GTO might be the oldest of all five, but its average selling price is around $ million, which isn’t that bad. The Ferrari Enzo is selling for about the same.

A Masterpiece

So far, getting your hand on the first four cars should cost you around 16 to 20 million, depending on the quality of each example. Now, let’s talk about the big boy, the Ferrari LaFerrari, which cost around $1.4 million when it was brand new. The only problem is that you had to be chosen by Ferrari to be able to buy one of these. Even if you offered the Italian manufacturer $10 million, they wouldn’t sell you one if you weren’t on the list. Then, the Aperta version came out later with an MSRP of around $2 million. Today, the average Ferrari LaFerrari is selling anywhere between 5 and 7 million dollars. If you want to get an Aperta, be ready to spend even more than that.

The Ferrari LaFerrari is a crazy piece of engineering. The Italian sports car is powered by a combination between a 6.3 L V-12 and an electric powertrain for a total output of 963 horsepower.

The crazy thing here is the Ferrari LaFerrari isn’t even the most expensive Ferrari out there. Some classic Ferrari, such as the 290MM have been sold for close to $30 million in the past years. However, the most expansive Ferrari ever is definitely the 250GTO which has an estimated value of around $70 million. However, there are only 36 250 GTO in the entire world compared to several hundred units for the LaFerrari and other models.
