Mitsubishi RVR 2024

Depending on where you live around the globe, you may know the RVR under a different name, such as Outlander Sport or ASX. Nevertheless, we will keep things simple here and refer to it as the RVR since we are based in Canada.

The Mitsubishi RVR hasn’t changed much in the 12 years it has been on our market. Still, the sub-compact SUV has received several updates to keep up with the competition over the years. However, 2023 will be a big year for the RVR since it has been entirely redesigned.

A new RVR!

The vehicle Mitsubishi presented us isn’t entirely new since the RVR now shares its platform with the Renault Captur. In fact, for most of what we can see, Mitsubishi mostly changed the logo of the Captur for those of its own. This may sound like a bad thing, but it isn’t.

If you didn’t know, Mitsubishi is part of the Renault-Nissan partnership, and it is totally normal for a vehicle to use the same platform and even the same mould as another car in the same family. In fact, it is far more common than you can imagine. Most of the time, it is something only a few people notice, but in the RVR case, I think the way the hood is shaped to receive to Renault logo sold it. Anyway, I think this new RVR is awesome, and It is the first complete makeover for the model in more than 13 years, so we are not going to complain if it looks like a vehicle that will never be sold here.

I really like the shape of the new RVR, and this will help the model to set itself apart from the rest of Mitsubishi’s lineup. The new RVR has a more dynamic and modern look. It looks very European, and I like this a lot.

This new platform helps the RVR on many levels starting with the quality of the finish and the material on the inside. The dashboard is more refined and straightforward. We don’t have many details about it yet, but the photos shared by Mitsubishi show an all-digital cluster. It might be available only for the upper trim, but it is the kind of upgrade that is totally worth the money regardless of how much it costs.

No 2023 Mitsubishi RVR

The all-new Mitsubishi RVR hasn’t been revealed yet in Canada. However, everything makes us believe the model is going to be available in 2023 as a 2024 model. This means there not be a 2023 RVR, and Mitsubishi would only carry on with 2022 as far as possible before the arrival of the new generation.
