Top 10 of the best Land Rover model ever made
Founded in 1948, Land Rover may not be the oldest vehicle manufacturer still operating today. Still, it sure has been there long enough to build a heritage and a reputation for being the reference when it comes to luxurious off-road vehicles. As you can imagine, a lot of models have been part of Land Rover catalogs over the course of 75 years.
Every time I do those top 10, I make the same mistake. It will be easy to pick and put the favorite models in order. Well, it wasn't the case once again, and the more I dug, the more I discovered the brand. In the end, it makes me appreciate Land Rover even more. I talk with some Land Rover true deep fans; I search on every forum about the British manufacturer, and, of course, I used some of my experience with the Land Rover lineup to come up with a Top 10 that should please every petrolhead.
10 – Land Rover Defender Heritage Edition / 2016
Land Rover decided to make a final edition of the previous generation Land Rover Defender whose production ended in 2016. Believe it or not, the model has stayed the same since 1983.
9 – Land Rover 88 Series IIA / 1958 - 1971
If you have seen the movie Ace Ventura, then you know exactly what this is about. The 88 Series IIA is more rigid than a tank. It may not look like it, but it is one of the best off-roaders ever made.
8 – Land Rover Range Rover Sport / 2013 - 2022
I've known several Land Rover Range Rover Sport owners over the years, and most of them loved their vehicle even though it was considered one of the most unreliable vehicles of its time.
7 – Land Rover LR4 / 2009 - 2016
It might not be a popular opinion, but the Land Rover LR4 is one of the most comfortable and practical Land Rover ever made, so I like it. It looks good too.
6 – land Rover Range Rover Evoque / 2011 - Current
It's weird looking, and it even had a convertible version at some point. Therefore the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque definitely deserves its place and this Top 10.
5 – Land Rover Range Rover / 2012 - 2021
I am a small fan of the new generation Land Rover Range Rover. However, the previous generation is probably the one I am the most familiar with. Every time I see a European movie, the bad guy drives a Land Rover from this generation and therefore it became so cool over the years.
4 – Land Rover Pink Panther / 1968 – 1984
Believe it or not, but was a military idea to paint this vehicle pink because it was the most effective camouflage color.
3 – Land Rover Defender 90 / 1994
When I saw this thing, I only wanted to go on a safari. This model of Land Rover is so cool and certainly one of the most iconic.
2 – Land Rover Range Rover Classic / 1969 - 1996
You can only talk about classics Land Rover by mentioning the Range Rover Classic that was built from 1969 to 1996. It almost hit the first position, but the difference with the third position is more than a mile long. This is a great Land Rover.
1 – Land Rover Defender / 2020 - Current
Land Rover took a considerable risk by offering a vehicle so modern looking, but the new generation Land Rover Defender seduced a whole new clientele and quickly became one of the most popular models in the Land Rover lineup. It may not be a classic, but it is the most fantastic luxury off-roader you can buy today.
