After months of rumors and information being revealed bit by bit, Toyota finally presents the Tacoma 2024. For this new generation, the concept of the Japanese manufacturer's truck has been completely revamped, offering several mechanical innovations. New configurations with exceptional off-road capabilities have also been added to the Toyota Tacoma 2024 lineup.

Let's face it, the Toyota Tacoma has always been the benchmark in the midsize truck category, and that's not about to change with the arrival of the latest generation model. Toyota has literally left no stone unturned with the new model.

A Born Seductor

The Toyota Tacoma 2024 arrives with more muscle and sculpted design than ever, drawing heavily on the design of the new Sequoia and Tundra. However, the small truck from the Japanese manufacturer still retains its familiar and friendly style. Toyota has made excellent choices in terms of finishes for the grille and other decorative elements on the truck's exterior. The new Tacoma also offers a wide range of wheels and accessories for off-road driving. According to the Japanese manufacturer, the theme used here was "tough and rugged," and it can be said that they have succeeded on all fronts.

A Robust and Tech-Filled Interior

The first thing that catches the eye in the interior of the Toyota Tacoma 2023 is the new 14-inch screen available on certain versions. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is also offered, depending on the version. After that, it becomes apparent that the cabin has been heavily modernized as a whole, which is a good thing. For the first time in a long time, the Tacoma does not seem to lag behind the competition in this regard.

Modern Power

Unsurprisingly, the Tacoma follows in the footsteps of the Tundra in terms of mechanics, offering the i-Force engine in the form of a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. This engine produces 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. There is also the i-Force MAX powertrain, which builds on the same foundation but adds an electric motor, bringing the total power to 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. What will particularly please truck enthusiasts is the return of the manual transmission. An 8-speed automatic transmission is also available.

The mechanical aspect represents only a portion of the Japanese manufacturer's truck's capabilities. The chassis of the Toyota Tacoma 2024 is made of high-strength steel with laser welds, making it even more rigid. Additionally, a big novelty for the model is the replacement of the rear leaf spring suspension with coil springs. Toyota has also meticulously worked on the brakes for each version. The more we talk about increased performance, the larger the discs become.

The Toyota Tacoma 2024 promises to be the ultimate midsize truck, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited to put it to the test.
