Why Choose the 2023 Jaguar XF Over Its Competitors

Why Choose the 2023 Jaguar XF Over Its Competitors

2023 Jaguar XF

The 2023 XF is currently the only sedan in the brand line-up in Canada which is sad when you consider Jaguar built a lot of its reputation around this category. Of course, there is a strong demand for SUVs; therefore, Jaguar just gave the customer what they wanted. However, the British manufacturer managed to save one sedan in the process.

The Jaguar XF may not be the most popular car in its segment, and sales figures aren’t imposing. Nevertheless, the British sedan is worth some consideration from any potential buyers.

A Disappearing Category

The mid-size sedan segment lost a significant portion of its members throughout the years. The fact the XF is still part of it shows how important the model is for the brand. Before talking about what set the British sedan apart from the competition, let’s take a look at the said competition.

Rivals: Audi A6/A7, BMW 5 Series, Genesis G80, Lexus ES, Maserati Ghibli, Mercedes-Benz Classe E, Volvo S90.

Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz are still big players in this segment, and there is nothing to argue for. However, the Jaguar XF has everything it needs to compete against such big names. The British sedan is among the most comfortable cars in its category, whether you like driving or being driven around. The XF is one of the few mid-size sedans that offers enough space at the back for somebody who needs a chauffeur.

The 2023 Jaguar XF is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Of course, you can get more powerful powertrains with the German trio, but the British sedan offers an outstanding balance between comfort, performance, and fuel economy. It is not a full-size luxury car we are discussing here, so driving costs matter. And as we are on the subject, the Jaguar XF price is another good element it has to offer. Pretty much every mid-size sedan has a starting price of around $66.000, and the 2023 XF is no exception with $64.200. However, things become interesting when you look at the options book. With other brands, this is usually where the invoice inflates quite a lot. Let me tell you, Jaguar is far more reasonable than its competitors here. You can add another $3.000 to $4.000 to the final bill with the British sedan, where it can get anywhere between $20.000 to $30.000 in extra for the competition.

The Experience

In my opinion, what makes the Jaguar XF such a good and desirable car is the attention to detail and the quality of the assembly in general. You can see Jaguar took some time to select the best materials for each part of the car and design it to make it always good-looking. I don’t think there is a way to describe how pleasant the Jaguar XF is. It is a car that feels good in every possible way, and the sophisticated and dynamic driving experience is just a bonus.

Most cars feel like they were computer generated by some AI. Of course, it makes them great in some ways and reliable. However, no other mid-size sedan will deliver emotions the same way the British sedan will. The best way to describe this is that most mid-size luxury sedans are like the expensive espresso machine you dream of, and the Jaguar XF is like the fresh coffee homemade by your 85-year-old British butler.
