Introducing the 2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT

06 February 2024 BY Jean-Sébastien Poudrier

There was a time when family cars were all the rage, and even though that's not quite the case today, there are still exceptions to the rule, as is the case with the Audi RS6 Avant. To celebrate the model's success and the brand's rallying heritage, the German manufacturer unveiled a special edition this week inspired by the legendary Audi 90 Quattro.

The Audi RS6 Avant GT 2025 will be easily distinguishable from the regular version thanks to its graphic package, which is reminiscent of the 90 Quattro. For this occasion, the German manufacturer's sporty family car benefits from 22-inch six-spoke wheels and several carbon fiber elements, such as the hood and front fenders. The car also sports an enlarged grille.

Anything but ordinary

The first thing to note about the GT is that it's not just a regular Audi RS6 Avant with different stickers and logos. Engineers took the opportunity to add adjustable suspension and several other minor technical improvements.

On the mechanical side, the car retains the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, which already delivers exceptional performance with its 621 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. This enables the German manufacturer's family car to achieve 0-100 km/h in under 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 280 km/h. Clearly, we're in the territory of exotic cars here.

A limited edition

Unsurprisingly, and as is generally the case for this type of car, Audi has decided to limit the production of the RS6 Avant GT 2025 to 660 units. Unfortunately, this number extends globally, meaning only 7 units will come to Canada. Moreover, here, the German family car will only be offered in one color, Arkona White. Four additional options will be available in Europe.

Of course, the Canadian price is not yet known, but it is expected to be higher than that of the regular Audi RS6 Avant, which already starts at $147,158. However, one can imagine that the German manufacturer will have no trouble selling all the units of such an exclusive car, long before its arrival on the market.
