Lotus Emeya 2024: an electric sports sedan

During the launch of the Emira, Lotus had announced that it would be their last gasoline-powered car. The British manufacturer seems to have kept its promise as it unveils a new 100% electric model today. It\'s the Emeya, a sports sedan with over 905 horsepower.
Lotus categorizes the Emeya as an Hyper-GT, and for good reason. This 100% electric performance sedan is powered by two electric motors, delivering a total of 905 horsepower and 726 pound-feet of torque. You\'ll understand that it comes with all-wheel drive as standard. That\'s not all, as it\'s one of the few electric cars on the market with a two-speed transmission. It\'s capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than 2.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of over 250 km/h (155 mph).
The British manufacturer\'s sedan is compatible with 350 kW fast chargers, allowing it to recover 150 kilometers of range in just 5 minutes. The car is said to be able to go from 10 to 80% charge in eighteen minutes.
The Lotus Emeya is powered by a 102 kWh battery pack, which should provide enough energy for a maximum range of 600 kilometers (about 373 miles) according to the manufacturer\'s claims.
Beautiful and Intelligent
In terms of design, it\'s something completely different from the brand\'s other products. The Emeya offers a fluid silhouette with pronounced curves and angular elements. The contrast is interesting, and the car certainly doesn\'t go unnoticed.
This sedan is also equipped with the latest performance technologies. It notably features electronically controlled air suspension that analyzes the road 1,000 times per second. The front grille, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser are all active elements that can adjust to achieve the best aerodynamic efficiency.
Lotus is one of those manufacturers that care about the environment, which is why many elements inside the Emeya are made from recycled materials. Lotus\'s goal is to demonstrate that you can offer a luxury product and finish while also being environmentally friendly.
The British manufacturer\'s car benefits from a high-end KEF audio system. This system also helps eliminate ambient noise, making the Emeya\'s interior quieter and more serene.
The pricing range for the model has not been announced yet, but production is expected to begin in 2024.
